Back in 2002, Darnell was enjoying himself, singing karaoke when he could. Unfortunately, the only place he found where he could relax and let his vocal chords go was at the local tavern. The environment of the tavern conflicted with his own Christian values and he struggled with this.
If he felt this way, surely there were others in the same boat. Others who wanted to sing karaoke, but couldn't find a wholesome atmosphere in which to do so. In his mind, he considered the possibility of becoming a Christian karaoke deejay.
God lined up the pieces for Darnell to purchase karaoke equipment and the Christian Alternative, Inc. was born. Since then Darnell has connected with churches, youth groups and families who love to sing. He performs at Lifest in Oshkosh, Wisconsin every year and looks forward to the following year once the current year's event is over.
