Darnell's family has been incredibly supportive of the role karaoke plays in his life. His wife, six children, brothers, nieces, nephews and others have accompanied to various shows, helping out as needed to keep the show running smoothly.
It takes a large commitment to manage the details of each show. From safeguarding the equipment to arriving on time, the preparation before and during each show takes several people to coordinate. Prior to the show, songlists need to be printed and updated and equipment must be tested.
Darnell's children have grown up with the karaoke lifestyle and realize the dedication required. Each son or daughter has their own favorite songs and treasures the special bonding time they share whether they are just singing at home or preparing for the next show.
